JEFFERY SMITH

Chief Construction Officer (CCO)

Jeffery Smith serves as Chief Construction Officer for UrbanBuild, LLC, leading construction strategy and execution across the company’s residential and development platform. With over 15 years of construction leadership experience throughout Texas, Jeff specializes in delivering projects on time and on budget while maintaining strict control over quality, cost, and schedule risk.

At UrbanBuild, Jeff oversees all phases of construction including pre-construction planning, budgeting, procurement, field operations, and project close-out. He works closely with ownership and finance leadership to align execution strategy with investment objectives, margin targets, and long-term asset performance.

Prior to UrbanBuild, Jeff held senior leadership roles with Legend Communities, Inc., where he directed multi-project residential portfolios, and Scott Felder Homes, where he managed large-scale field operations and developed high-performing construction teams.

Jeff is known for owner-aligned decision making, field-driven leadership, and disciplined operational execution. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Texas State University. Jeff and his wife and children reside in Spicewood, Texas.

Jeffery Simpson brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across residential construction, mechanical services, and operational management. His career has been defined by disciplined execution, operational scalability, and a commitment to premium client service.

Jeffery founded and led a successful appliance installation company serving Austin’s luxury home market, partnering with premier custom builders and high-end residential clients. He later expanded his executive leadership experience as a director within a large corporation for seven years, where he oversaw operations, team development, and strategic growth initiatives.

Most recently, he launched and scaled a professional HVAC and plumbing company, strengthening his expertise in mechanical systems, field operations, and building efficient, high-performing service organizations.

As Chief Operating Officer of UrbanBuild’s Services Division, Jeffery is responsible for operational strategy, systems implementation, team performance, and disciplined growth across all service lines.

Jeffery is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He has been married to his wife Amanda for 21 years, and together they are raising two sons. Their family life is centered around travel, adventure, and building meaningful experiences together.
